Semester Final Post

Visit the Channel One news site and do the following task. Be sure to organize your post and include pictures and links.

Your Post
1. Who won the Michigan presidential primary? Provide a picture of the winners and link to where you found it on channel one.

2. In the games and contests section find a game you like and link it in your post. provide a brief description of the game and why you liked it. don't waste to much time here. get your post done and then you can go back.

3. Chimps and gorillas are an endangered species. Check out this link to a sanctuary that is trying to save these cool animals and answer the following questions. Include the questions in you post as well as pictures.

1. What is the name of the sanctuary?

2. Where is it located?

3. How many acres is the sanctuary?

4. approximately how many chimpanzees are killed by poachers?

5. When was the sanctuary founded?

6. Provide one goal of the sanctuary?

Yesterday we talked about the Iowa Caucus and some of you commented on either disliking or liking certain candidates.

What Makes you Like or dislike a candidate? Their looks, how they talk, what your parents say?

What Should determine the candidate you like?

Your Post

1.Choose the candidate that you currently think you like. Start your post with a picture of that candidate their name and why you like that candidate.

2. Now take a look at the Rock the Vote Website to read about why you should vote. Here they discuss the topics and how they affect young people. Pick 3 topics that your are passionate about and interest you. Write what your stance is.

3. For the 3 topics that you chose find how your candidate stands on those same issues and provide a brief summary. to get your candidates stance on the issue look at vote-smart.org

4. Has looking at the issues changed your candidate? If so why? Who will you look at now?
